VAIL– On Saturday, Jan. 19, winter season sport enthusiasts from around the region will collect in Leadville for the Winter Triathlon.

This race occurs at the Leadville’s CMC Timberline Campus starting at 10 a.m. and will include a 5K snowshoe, 10K snow-bike and an 8K skate-ski. This event will be open to both individual competitors and groups.

With strong conditions waiting for participants and a credibility for courses that provide tactical along with physical obstacles, this multi-discipline winter season occasion is perfect for endurance athletes of all levels to test their abilities at a range of snowsports. The snowshoe leg of the occasion takes location on off-piste singletrack, followed by the bike portion on groomed singletrack and closes with the ski part playing out on groomed Nordic-track. Fat bikes will be required for the cycling part and helmets are needed for all riders.
