The lifts have stopped turning, now what? We closed out the ski season with fun-filled closing days at Beaver Creek and Vail Mountain. It was great to celebrate a successful season on the slopes at a time with so much uncertainty. As we look ahead to the summer and continue our gratitude towards the mountain lifestyle, we wanted to share some of our favorite Colorado Getaways.
Denver
We’ve connected our mountain real estate company to the city of Denver and couldn’t be happier about this opportunity to embrace different markets and lifestyles. When living in the mountains, a weekend in the city can be a chance to enjoy some new flavors, shop for anything on your list, or maybe even attend a sports game or concert (when things return back to normal life!). What’s your go-to when visiting the mile-high city?
Palisade
Wineries, peaches, and warm weather. What else do you need? Palisade offers an abundance of fun for the wine-lover in your group. Rent bikes for the day and see how many wineries you can visit. Take a tour of a peach farm or just sit back and enjoy the sun.
Great Sand Dunes National Park
Did you know Colorado is home to the tallest sand dunes in North America? They stretch on for 30 square miles and the tallest dune reaches 750 feet high. Hiking to the top is harder than it looks but the ride down is that much sweeter! Grab a sled and ride snowboard-style or simply have fun running and jumping into the sand. The park has a lot to offer including an hike to a waterfall, a natural river that runs through the sand certain times of the year, and camping to enjoy a night under the stars.
Spring is definitely in the air! Springtime in the mountains is a great time to get out and explore this beautiful state we call home. Adventure awaits; where will your next Colorado Getaway take you?
